9. Plug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable(s) into the server.
Removing the RAID Battery Backup Unit
1. Observe the safety and ESD precautions at the beginning of this book. See
“Safety
Information”

2. Power down the server and unplug all peripheral devices and the AC power
cable(s).
3. Remove the server system cover. For instructions, see
“Removing the System
Cover”
.
4. Remove the large air baffle. For instructions, see
“Removing the Large Air Baffle”
.
5. Remove the cable from the rear of the RAID battery backup unit and the mid-plane
board as shown in the figure below (see letter “A”).
6. Slide the RAID battery backup unit forward and lift from the server system (see
letter “B”).

9. Plug all peripheral devices and the AC power cable(s) into the server.
