Installing the Tablet and the AnyPoint Network
Drivers For the First Time
Use the following steps if this is your first tablet and you do not
already have AnyPoint home networking installed on your PC.
Begin Charging the Tablet

Remove the plastic pull-tab from the battery case on the
rear of the tablet.

Plug the AC adapter into the wall. Open the tablet access
panel and plug the AC adapter into the tablet AC power
jack.

Leave the tablet connected to AC power so it can begin
charging while you complete the tablet setup. The entire
installation process takes approximately 45 minutes.
Note:
If you use the flip stand on the back of the tablet to keep
the tablet upright, make sure the stand is fully extended.
Install the Wireless Adapter (On the PC)

Shut down the PC.

Plug the AnyPoint adapter cable into an open USB port.

Turn on the PC.

After the PC starts up,
insert the Intel Web Tablet Setup CD
into the CD-ROM drive
. The CD is located inside the back
cover of this Product Guide.
Install the Drivers (On the PC)
Important!
Do not click
Cancel
on ANY screen in the Add New
Hardware wizard.

When the Add New Hardware wizard starts, click
Next
to
begin installing the drivers.

Select
Search for the best driver for your device
and click
Next
.

If you are prompted for a drive, make sure the
CD-ROM
drive
check box is checked. Click
Next
twice to install the
drivers.

Click
Finish
. On Windows* 98 systems, you may need to
click
Finish
twice.
5
If you are prompted to restart the PC, click
No
. You may be
asked to restart the PC more than once – click
No
each time.
Install the Tablet Software (On the PC)
After the drivers are installed, the Intel Web Tablet Setup screen
appears.
Note:
If the Intel Web Tablet Setup screen does not appear, open
My Computer
on your desk top. Double-click the CD-ROM
drive, and then double-click
setup.exe.

Click
Install
to begin installing the tablet software.

Follow the on-screen instructions to install the software.
