If setup detects more than one adapter on the PC...
If you receive an error message telling you that the PC has more
than one adapter, it means the PC has a network adapter with an
IP address that conflicts with the AnyPoint adapter.
Before continuing with setup, do the following to identify and
correct the conflict:

Write down the name of the network adapter(s) listed in the
error message.

Click the
Exit Setup
button.

Open the Windows
Start
menu and select
Run
.

In the text box, type:
winipcfg
and then click
OK
. The IP Configuration dialog displays

Open the selection list, and select each of the adapters that
you wrote down in step one. If any of these adapters have
an IP address beginning with 169.254, use the following
steps to change its IP address before continuing with tablet
setup.

Click
OK
to close the IP Configuration dialog.

Open the Windows
Control Panel
and double-click the
Network
icon. The Network dialog displays.

Click the
Configuration
tab and locate the network adapter
you identified in step 4.

Click the adapter to select it, and then click
Properties
. The
TCP/IP Properties dialog displays.

Click the
IP Address
tab.
10 Select the
Specify an IP address
radio button, and then
enter the following values:
IP Address: 192.168.168.1
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
11 Click
OK
twice to close the Network dialog.
12 If you are prompted to restart the computer, click
Yes
.
Note:
If the adapter you updated is part of a home network, the
IP addresses of all computers on the network must be updated to
begin with 192.168.168.
You are now ready to continue setting up the tablet PC software.

Insert the Intel Web Tablet Setup CD in to the CD-ROM
drive.

Open the Windows
Control Panel
.

Double-click the CD-ROM drive, and then double-click
setup.exe
.

The setup program will continue where it left off. Follow
the instructions on the installation poster to complete
setting up the tablet.
