7.1. General Operation

License chip card

To active the PC software you will need a license chip card, which is a part of the
scope of delivery of the configuration set. After TwinComm is started, this card must
be inserted into the chip card reader.

After the license chip card has been read, the according locking system can be
selected. (->

Start screen

Before the chip card reader is used, the serial interface to which the reader is
connected must be activated.
The setting is done in the menu “

Chip card -> Configure

“. Or the user is prompted

to select the interface when the PC software starts for the first time.
