USE
Your protection is ensured by the materials the helmet is made of and their
ability to absorb and cushion impacts. If the helmet suffers a hard impact, do
not use it anymore, even though no damage may be visible on the outside.
The inner structure of the helmet deforms with the impact, which compromises
its protective attributes.
No helmet will protect you from every impact, but a well-fitted, firmly secured
quality helmet is the best protection you can get.
W-TEC motorcycle helmets were designed for motorcycle use. The same level
of protection is not guaranteed if they’re used for any other activities.
WARNING: NEVER USE THIS OR ANY OTHER HELMET AFTER IT HAS
BEEN SUBJECTED TO AN IMPACT OF ANY KIND.
SIZE INSTRUCTIONS
A safe helmet fits your head snugly. Put the helmet on and shake your head
backwards and forwards. Try to move your helmet with your hands. If you feel
the helmet get loose, or if it slips on your head in any way, you need a smaller
helmet. If you feel any constriction or pain, you need a larger one. Finally,
perform a test: Grab the bottom edge of your helmet with one hand and try to
dislodge it from your head by pulling it upwards and forwards with moderate
force. If the helmet can be removed from you head this way, it doesn’t fit your
head properly.
Make sure you have unobstructed lateral view and that you can safely and
comfortably turn your head to see what’s behind you. Also, make sure you can
breathe comfortably and that nothing obstructs the free flow of air coming from
below your nose and mouth.
BEFORE YOU SET OUT
•
Always check the face shield screws on both sides of the helmet
before riding. It can be very dangerous if these parts come loose
during riding. Tighten them if necessary.
•
Always fasten your chin strap before heading out.
•
REMEMBER: Helmets reduce your ability to hear, especially at high
speeds.
