3.3. Connecting to Cable Modem
1. Apply power and connect the PC and NVS410 together via the crossover cable provided with the system.
2. Setup network parameters by running “IP-Installer”. (Refer to Figure 3-4).

3. Remove the crossover cable and connect the NVS410 to the network using standard LAN cable as
shown in Figure 3-5. Check if you can receive video using the viewer program.
In most cases when connecting the NVS410 to a xDSL Modem, a standard Ethernet
network cable is required. But since a few xDSL Modems uses crossover connections,
please verify the interface with your Modem manufacturer.
In most cases when connecting the NVS410 to a Cable Modem, a standard Ethernet
network cable is required. In some cases a crossover connection may be needed.
