STOVE GUARD SGK500 USER MANUAL
7. Changing the hob type setting
The Intelligent Heat Sensor uses different settings for gas and electric burners.
Changing the hob type setting may be required if the gas burners setting was not successfully
implemented during the Intelligent Heat Sensor setup, or if you later change your cooker to a
different type.
Changing the setting
Detach the Intelligent Heat Sensor (if it is attached with screws, see detaching instructions
from section 4). Mark the Sensor’s original installation location, if necessary - it is important to
ensure that after procedures, the Sensor is returned back to its original installation location.
Take the Intelligent Heat Sensor to your hand, holding it from the top and the bottom. Press
the cover towards the bottom so that the green light alights and hold it down. Whilst press-
ing the cover, use a screwdriver to push a push-button, located inside a hole on the bottom
surface of the Sensor (see image 7 on page 20). Wait until the Sensor emits one or two signals,
then release the push-button, after which you can also release the cover. The push-button
can also be pressed by putting the battery disconnection piece in to the hole and pressing it
down. The signals tell about the new hob type setting: one signal signifies electric burners set-
ting, two signals signifies gas burners setting.

The Control Unit settings can be checked by turning the power of the cooker off using the

the power of the Control Unit off, using the main switch or the socket switch. The Control Unit
will then emit signals to inform you about its settings.
