This symbol means that only self-shielded light
bulbs may be used.
Any repairs that may become necessary must be carried
out by a qualified electrician. In the event of damage
to the external power lead, replacements may only be
fitted by Ingo Maurer GmbH.

Important:
Be careful to touch only the retaining pin (4),
and not the bulb unit, which can become very hot.
Arrest the bulb unit by turning the retaining pin clock-
wise.

Changing the light bulb
Caution:
Remove the plug and allow the lamp to cool
down completely. Do not touch the replacement bulbs
with your bare hands (risk of fingermark damage)!
Carefully detach the shade with the protective ring (

) and
lift it away.

Inser t the replacement bulb in the socket and ensure that
it is securely in place. Push the shade with the protective
ring down onto the groove (

) in the bulb unit, as shown
in figure
1
.
Cleaning
Please do not use cleaning materials containing solvents.
Brass version:
The surface will eventually develop a patina,
which can be removed if required with an ordinary brass-
cleaner.

230V:
electronic transformer with slider control, 20 - 105 W,
50 Hz. The lamp may only be used with the transformer
