Boot Option
During power-on-reset the XMC4700/XMC4800 latches the signal level at the pins TMS and TCK. Based on the
logic levels latched at these pins after reset the XMC4700/XMC4800 starts booting in different modes. TMS
and TCK pins are used for debugging and by default program execution is always starting from on-chip flash
(normal mode).
The XMC4700/XMC4800 Relax Kit Series-V1 does not support the selection of the boot options by switches
directly. In case of no external debug probe is used the boot mode can be influenced by applying 1 kOhm
pull-up- or pull-down resistors to TMS and TCK pins. These pins are available at the 10-pin debug connector
X102.
