11.1 Selecting a connected audio device
To play the sound of a connected audio device, use the MODE button to select the audio input through which
you want to play the sound of a connected device.
Select
Optical In 1
if you want to play the sound of an audio device connected via optical
digital input 1 (SPDIF IN).
Select
Optical In 2
if you want to play the sound of an audio device connected via optical
digital input 2 (SPDIF IN).
Select
Coaxial In 1
if you want to play the sound of an audio device connected via the
electrical digital input 1 (COAXIAL IN).
Select
Coaxial In 2
if you want to play the sound of an audio device connected via the
electrical digital input 2 (COAXIAL IN).
Select RCA IN if you want to play the sound of an audio device connected via the
analogue stereo RCA input. (LINE).
To adjust the volume optimally, use the volume control on the radio as well as on the connected device.
Please note that a very low volume setting of the connected device and a correspondingly higher volume
setting of the radio will also amplify annoying noise/interference to a greater extent and thus be heard more
clearly.
We thus recommend adjusting the volume of the DABMAN i550 CD e.g. on a DAB+ or FM station, switching
to the audio input and then adjusting the volume of the connected device so that the total volume of the audio
input roughly corresponds to the volume of the DAB+/ FM station. This way you can also avoid major volume
differences when switching between the DABMAN i550 CD functions.
