Decommissioning, dismantling and disposal
9.1
Laws and regulations
1.
Observe and comply with all laws and regulations on environmental protection and
waste disposal applicable where the machine is used.
2.
Observe the instructions for disposal on the packaging.
Pollutants
Pollutants must not enter the drinking water, soil or sewage system. The components of the
machine may have been treated with oils or greases for lubrication or preservation. Other
chemicals may be used to operate the product or machine.
•
Avoid emissions of lubricants or chemicals into waste water during commission-
ing and operation.
•
Transport and store lubricants, fluxes and chemicals in suitable containers.
•
Dispose of lubricants or chemicals as well as rags and binding agents contami-
nated with them separately from normal waste as hazardous waste or have them
disposed of by a specialised company.
•
Observe and comply with local laws and regulations on water protection and the
disposal of harmful substances.
9.2
Shut down and decommission the machine
1.
Ensure that there are no parts left in the machine.
2.
Clean the machine.
3.
Affix the storage and safety-related labels.
