Operating
The following sections describe the proper and safe operation of the machine.
7.1
Checks before switching on the machine
Before switching on the machine, it is essential to carry out the following checks:
•
Checking the safety devices for correct attachment and function.
•
Check the general operating condition of the machine.
•
Is the work area free of obstacles and sufficiently illuminated?
•
Are there still people in the danger zone?
•
Is the operator qualified and authorised to operate the machine?
7.2
Switching the machine on and off
NOTE
The machine is switched on and off via the external control.
CAUTION
Danger of crushing during operation.

Make sure that no unauthorised persons are in the danger zone.
•
Wear protective clothing.
•
Observe safety instructions.
CAUTION
Risk of injury from falling slides.
•
Secure the slides to be transported against falling with the securing
devices in the insert frame.
•
Only use slides that are suitable for the insert frame.
CAUTION
Glass slides can break if used incorrectly. There is a risk of cutting if the
glass breaks.
•
When using the machine with glass slides, follow the manufacturer's
instructions for the slides.
•
Only use slides that are suitable for the insert frame.
•
If there is a risk of glass breakage, wear suitable protective equip-
ment such as hand protection and eye protection.
