Anmeldepflicht
Die Zulassung für das Mikrofonsystem ist nach der
R + TTE-Richtlinie (Radio and Telecommunication
Technical Equipment) in den Staaten der Europäi-
schen Union gültig.
In der Bundesrepublik Deutschland haben Sie mit
dem Kauf des TXS-260SET die Allgemeingenehmi-
gung der RegTP (Regulierungsbehörde für Telekom-
munikation und Post) erworben. Die Zulassungs-
nummer für die Sender ist in den technischen Daten
angegeben. Trotzdem sind Sie verpflichtet, eine
Frequenzzuteilung bei der zuständigen Außenstelle
der RegTP in dem Gebiet zu beantragen, in dem das
Produkt eingesetzt wird. Die Allgemeingenehmigung
berechtigt den Benutzer nicht, das Gerät ohne Fre-
quenzzuteilung zu betreiben. Ein Antrag auf Fre-
quenzzuteilung befindet sich auf den Seiten 15 und
16. Die zuständigen Außenstellen sind auf der Karte
der Seite 12 ersichtlich und deren Anschriften auf der
Seite 13. Wer die Anmeldepflicht nicht beachtet, ver-
stößt gegen die Telekommunikationszulassungsver-
ordnung.
In anderen Ländern muß eventuell eine entspre-
chende Genehmigung beantragt werden. Wenden
Sie sich dazu bitte an Ihren Fachhändler bzw. an Ihre
MONACOR-Niederlassung.

Aufstellmöglichkeiten
Der Empfänger ist als Tischgerät oder für den Ein-
schub in ein Rack (482 mm/19") vorgesehen. Für
den Rack-Einbau die beiden beiliegenden Montage-
winkel links und rechts am Empfängergehäuse
anschrauben. Im Rack wird für den Einbau eine
Höhe von 1 HE (1 Höheneinheit = 44,5 mm) benötigt.
Sollen beim Rack-Einbau die Empfangsantennen
auf der Frontseite montiert werden, die als Zubehör
erhältlichen Montagewinkel TXS-35BNC von „img
Stage Line“ anstelle der beiliegenden Winkel ver-
wenden. Die Winkel sind mit je einer BNC-Buchse
ausgestattet, die über ein festverdrahtetes Verlänge-
rungskabel mit der Antennenbuchse des Empfän-
gers verbunden wird.
Um die Antennen in einem größeren Abstand zum
Empfänger anzubringen, können zusätzlich die Mon-
tagewinkel TXS-100BNC von „img Stage Line“ ver-
wendet werden. Die Länge des Anschlußkabels die-
ser Winkel beträgt 1 m.

Inbetriebnahme
6.1 Stromversorgung
6.1.1 Empfänger
1) Das beiliegende Netzanschlußkabel zuerst in die
Netzanschlußbuchse (12) des Empfängers stek-
ken und dann in eine Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz).
2) Zum netzunabhängigen Betrieb des Mikrofon-
systems kann der Empfänger aber auch über eine
12-V-Batterie (z. B. Autobatterie) versorgt werden.
Der Anschluß erfolgt über die Kleinspannungs-
buchse DC INPUT (14). Dazu wird ein Kleinspan-
nungsstecker 5,5/2,1 mm (Außen-/Innendurch-
messer) benötigt. An der Steckerspitze muß der
Pluspol anliegen.
6.1.2 Mikrofon
1) Die Schraubkappe (20) am unteren Ende des
Mikrofons abschrauben.
2) Eine 9-V-Batterie, mit den Plus- und Minusan-
schlüssen wie im Batteriefach (21) aufgedruckt,
einsetzen. Die Kappe (20) wieder festschrauben.
3) Mit einer frischen Batterie kann das Mikrofon ca.
6–8 Stunden betrieben werden. Leuchtet die
Betriebsanzeige (23) nicht bei eingeschaltetem
Mikrofon, ist die Batterie verbraucht und muß
ersetzt werden.
4) Bei längerem Nichtgebrauch (z. B. länger als eine
Woche) sollte die Batterie herausgenommen wer-
den. So bleibt das Mikrofon bei einem eventuellen
Auslaufen der Batterie unbeschädigt.
6.2 Audio- und Antennen-Anschluß
1) Die einzelnen Audiokanal-Ausgänge CHANNEL
1 – 4 des Empfängers (17) können an je einen
Line-Eingang (z. B. für CD-Spieler, Tape-Deck)
eines Mischpultes angeschlossen werden. Die
Kanäle 1 und 4 sind jedoch nur nach einer Erwei-
terung nutzbar (siehe Kapitel 7). Alternativ läßt
sich das Summensignal aller Empfangskanäle
über den Ausgang MIXER OUT (16) an einen
Line-Eingang eines Verstärkers anschließen. Den
Verstärker erst einschalten bzw. die entsprechen-
den Mischpultregler erst aufziehen, wenn das
Mikrofonsystem komplett eingeschaltet ist.
2) Die beiden beiliegenden Antennen in die Buchsen
ANTENNA (11 + 19) stecken bzw. in die Buchsen
der Montagewinkel (siehe Kap. 5 „Aufstellmög-
lichkeiten“). Die Antennen senkrecht stellen, ganz
herausziehen und etwas voneinander weg-
schwenken. Bei Bedarf sind Ersatzantennen
unter der Bezeichnung TXS-1BNC von „img
Stage Line“ erhältlich.
6.3 Bedienung
1) Den Empfänger mit dem Schalter POWER (6)
einschalten. Die Betriebsanzeige (5) leuchtet.
Die weiteren Einstellungen sind für jeden Über-
tragungskanal getrennt durchzuführen. Die folgen-
den Bedienschritte beziehen sich auf einen Kanal.
2) Die Ansprechschwelle der Störunterdrückung ein-
stellen. Dazu das Mikrofon noch ausgeschaltet
lassen. Den Regler SQUELCH (9) in die Position
„10“ drehen. Keine der beiden Empfangsanzeigen
A oder B (8) darf leuchten. Wenn eine oder beide
Anzeigen leuchten, werden Störungen empfangen.
Zur Unterdrückung den Regler SQUELCH gerade
so weit entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn zurückdre-
hen, bis keine der Anzeigen A und B leuchtet. Den
Regler danach nicht weiter drehen, sonst wird
eventuell auch das Mikrofonsignal unterdrückt.
3) Das Mikrofon mit dem Schalter (22) einschalten.
Die Betriebsanzeige (23) leuchtet. Bleibt sie dun-
kel, muß eine neue Batterie eingesetzt werden.

The system can be extended to a total of four
transmission channels. For this purpose, the “img
Stage Line” range offers various modules. For selec-
tion and installation of the modules see chapter 7
“Possibilities of Extension”.

Compulsory Registration
According to the R + TTE regulation (Radio and Tele-
communication Technical Equipment), the approval
of the microphone system is valid in the countries of
the European Union.
By purchasing the TXS-260SET, you have also
acquired the general approval of the RegTP (regula-
tion authority for telecommunications and post) for
the Federal Republic of Germany. The registration
number of the transmitter can be found in the specifi-
cations. Nevertheless, you are obliged to apply for a
frequency assignment at the corresponding branch
office of the RegTP in the area where the system is to
be operated. The general approval does not author-
ize the user to operate the system without frequency
assignment. An application form for frequency as-
signment can be found on pages 15 and 16. The cor-
responding German RegTP branch offices are shown
on page 12, their addresses on page 13. Failure to
comply with the compulsory registration is a violation
of the regulations for telecommunications approval.
In other countries it may be necessary to apply for
a corresponding approval. For this purpose, please
contact your retailer or the MONACOR subsidiary in
the country where this system will be operated.

Installation
The receiver is designed for use as a table top unit or
for insertion into a rack (482 mm/19") For rack instal-
lation, screw the two supplied mounting brackets to
the left and the right sides of the receiver housing. A
height of 1 rack space (44.5 mm) is required for rack
installation.
If, in case of rack installation, the reception antennas
are to be mounted to the front panel, use the mount-
ing brackets TXS-35BNC by “img Stage Line” avail-
able as accessories instead of the brackets supplied
with the system. Each bracket is provided with a BNC
jack which is connected to the antenna jack of the
receiver via a fixed extension cable.
To install the antennas at a greater distance to the
receiver, the mounting brackets TXS-100BNC by
“img Stage Line” can be used in addition. The length
of the connecting cable of these brackets is 1 m.
6
Operation
6.1 Power supply
6.1.1 Receiver
1) Connect the supplied mains cable first to the
mains jack (12) of the receiver and then to a
mains socket (230 V~/50 Hz).
2) For an operation of the transmission system inde-
pendent of a mains power supply, power supply of
the receiver is also possible via a 12 V battery
(e. g. car battery). Connection is made via the low
voltage jack DC INPUT (14). For this purpose, a
low voltage plug 5.5/2.1 mm (outside/inside dia-
meters) is required. The positive pole must be
applied to the tip of the plug.
6.1.2 Microphone
1) Unscrew the screw cap (20) at the lower end of
the microphone.
2) Insert a 9 V battery with the positive and negative
connections according to the marking in the bat-
tery compartment (21). Screw on the cap (20).
3) With a new battery, the microphone can be oper-
ated for approx. 6 to 8 hours. If the power LED
(23) does not light up with the microphone
switched on, the battery is exhausted and must be
replaced.
4) If the system is not used for a longer period
(e. g. more than a week), the battery should
be removed. Thus, the microphone will not be
damaged in case of battery leakage.
6.2 Audio and antenna connections
1) The individual audio channel outputs CHANNEL 1
to 4 of the receiver (17) can each be connected to
a line input (e. g. for CD player, tape deck) of a
mixer. However, channels 1 and 4 can only be
used after an extension (see chapter 7). Alterna-
tively, the master signal of all reception channels
can be connected to a line input of an amplifier via
the output MIXER OUT (16). Do not switch on the
amplifier or do not advance the corresponding
control of the mixer until the microphone system
has been completely switched on.
2) Connect the two antennas supplied with the
system to the jacks ANTENNA (11 + 19) or to the
jacks of the mounting brackets (see chapter 5
“Installation”). Place the antennas in a vertical
position, fully extract them and turn them slighly
away from each other. If required, replacement
antennas with the designation TXS-1BNC by “img
Stage Line” are available.
6.3 Operation
1) Switch on the receiver with the POWER switch
(6). The power LED (5) lights up.
Further adjustments are to be made separately
for each transmission channel. The operation
steps below refer to one channel.
2) Switch on the threshold for the noise suppression.
Leave the microphone switched off for this purpose.
Set the SQUELCH control (9) to the position “10”.
None of the two reception LEDs A or B (8) must
light up. If one or both LEDs light up, interferences
are received. To suppress these interferences,
turn back the SQUELCH control counter-clock-
wise until both LEDs A and B are extinguished. Do
not turn the control any further, otherwise the
microphone signal may also be suppressed.
3) Switch on the microphone with the switch (22).
The power LED (23) lights up. If it fails to light up,
a new battery must be inserted.
