Skala. Ohne daß das Gegengewicht verdreht
wird, nur den Ring auf „0“ drehen (Abb. 4).
9) Auf der Skala wird das Auflagegewicht in Gramm
abgelesen. Für das mitgelieferte Tonabnehmersy-
stem ist ein Auflagegewicht von 2,5 g erforderlich.
Dazu das Gegengewicht (nicht den Ring mit der
Skala allein!) entgegen dem Uhrzeigersinn auf „2,5“
drehen (Abb. 5). Für andere Tonabnehmersysteme
das Auflagegewicht einstellen, welches in den da-
zugehörigen technischen Daten angegeben ist.
3.3 Antiskating einstellen
Beim Abspielen einer Schallplatte treten Kräfte an
der Abtastnadel auf, welche durch die Antiskating-
Einrichtung aufgehoben werden. Dazu den Antiska-
ting-Drehknopf (14) von „0“ auf den Wert einstellen,
der dem Auflagegewicht gleich ist, d. h. bei dem mit-
gelieferten Tonabnehmersystem auf „2,5“.
3.4 Abdeckhaube montieren
Die separat verpackte Abdeckhaube schützt den
Plattenspieler vor Staub und sonstiger Verschmut-
zung. Die Verpackung entfernen, und die Abdeck-
haube mit den Scharnieren auf den Plattenspieler
aufsetzen. Die Haube kann abgenommen werden,
wenn sie beim Betrieb stört (z. B. bei Disco-Betrieb).

Plattenspieler anschließen
Der Plattenspieler sollte ausgeschaltet sein, wenn An-
schlüsse zu anderen Geräten vorgenommen werden.
1) Das beiliegende Anschlußkabel in die Cinch-
Buchsen (17) des Plattenspielers stecken und am
Verstärker oder Mischpult in die Anschlußbuchsen
für einen Plattenspieler mit Magnetsystem. Dabei
auf die farbige Kennzeichnung der Buchsen und
Stecker achten (rot = rechter Kanal, weiß = linker
Kanal). Den Masse-Anschluß des Kabels an der
Klemme (18) festschrauben und an der Masse-
Klemme des Verstärkers oder Mischpultes.
2) Der Plattenspieler kann ferngesteuert gestartet
und gestoppt werden, z. B. über einen separaten
Schalter oder über ein Mischpult mit Fader-Start.
Zum Anschluß der Fernsteuerung siehe Kap. 5.3
„Fernsteuern der Funktion „Start/ Stop“.
3) Zum Beleuchten des Plattenspielers kann an
die XLR-Buchse (2) eine Schwanenhalsleuchte
(12 V
/3 W max.), z. B. GNL-300 von MONACOR,
angeschlossen werden. Die Lampe wird mit dem
Plattenspieler ein- bzw. ausgeschaltet.
Die XLR-Buchse besitzt eine Verriegelung.
Zum Abnehmen der Leuchte den PUSH-Hebel
herunterdrücken und gleichzeitig die Leuchte aus
der Buchse herausziehen.
4) Den Netzstecker in eine Steckdose (230 V~/50 Hz)
stecken.

Bedienung
5.1 Schallplatte abspielen
1) Die Abdeckhaube öffnen, und die Schutzkappe
für die Abtastnadel nach unten abziehen.
2) Den Plattenspieler mit dem Ein-/Ausschalter (11)
einschalten. Die Stroboskoplampe (5) leuchtet,
und auf der Geschwindigkeitsanzeige (10) leuch-
tet - je nach Stellung des Schiebeschalters (8) -
die rote Anzeige „33“ oder die grüne Anzeige „45“.
3) Mit dem Schiebeschalter (8) die Geschwindigkeit
wählen: 33 U/min (Umdrehungen pro Minute) für
Langspielplatten und 45 U/min für Single-Platten.
Die eingestellte Geschwindigkeit erscheint auf der
Anzeige (10).
4) Schallplatte auflegen. Bei Single-Platten mit gro-
ßem Mittelloch zusätzlich den Adapter (1) auflegen.
5) Den Verriegelungshebel (13) für den Tonarm nach
rechts öffnen. Zum Anheben des Tonarms den
Hebel für den Tonarm-Lift (12) in die hintere Posi-
tion
stellen. Den Tonarm am Griff anfassen, und
die Abtastnadel über den Anfang der Schallplatte
stellen.
6) Den Hebel für den Tonarm-Lift (12) in die vordere
Position
stellen. Der Tonarm senkt sich lang-
sam auf die Schallplatte.
7) Mit der Start/Stop-Taste (6) die Platte starten.
Während des Abspielens kann die Platte für eine
Unterbrechung mit der Start/Stop-Taste an jeder
Stelle gestoppt und wieder gestartet werden.
8) Am Ende der Schallplatte den Tonarm mit dem
Tonarm-Lift (12) anheben und ihn per Hand auf
den Tonarm-Halter zurückführen. Den Plattentel-
ler mit der Start/Stop-Taste (6) stoppen.
9) Nach dem Gebrauch des Plattenspielers den Ton-
arm mit dem Tonarm-Lift (12) absenken und mit
dem Verriegelungshebel (13) sichern. Den Plat-
tenspieler mit dem Ein-/Ausschalter (11) aus-
schalten. Die Abdeckhaube zum Schutz gegen
Staub herunterklappen.
5.2 Feineinstellung der Geschwindigkeit
Die mit dem Schiebeschalter (8) eingestellte Ge-
schwindigkeit kann um ±6 % verändert werden:
- bei der Geschwindigkeit von 33 U/min mit dem
Regler (7)
- bei der Geschwindigkeit von 45 U/min mit dem
Regler (9)
Befindet sich der entsprechende Regler in Mittel-
stellung
stimmt die Geschwindigkeit genau. Zur
Kontrolle der Geschwindigkeit dient der Stroboskop-
ring (4) am Plattentellerrand. Bei rotierendem Platten-
teller den Teil des Rings betrachten, der von der Stro-
boskopleuchte (5) beleuchtet wird. (Eventuell die
Raumbeleuchtung verringern.) Bei exakt eingestellter
Geschwindigkeit bleiben die Markierungen auf dem
Ring scheinbar stehen (siehe Abb. 6):
bei 33 U/min auf dem oberen Ring,
bei 45 U/min auf dem zweiten Ring.

If the tonearm swings upwards: turn the counter-
weight counterclockwise.
If the tonearm swings downwards: turn the coun-
terweight clockwise.
7) Put the tonearm back onto the tonearm support
and secure it with the tonearm locking lever (13).
8) At the counterweight (15) there is a black rotary
ring with a scale. The red marking on the tonearm
points to any value on the scale. Without turning
the counterweight, move only the ring to the “0”
position (fig. 4).
9) On the scale the pressure weight is given in grams.
For the supplied phono cartridge system a pres-
sure weight of 2.5 g is necessary. For this turn the
counterweight together with the scale ring counter-
clockwise up to the “2.5” position (fig. 5). For other
phono cartridge systems adjust the pressure
weight according to the respective specifications.
3.3 Antiskating adjustment
When playing a record, forces occur at the stylus
which are compensated by the antiskating facility.
For this set the antiskating knob (14) from the “0”
position to the value which corresponds to the value
of the pressure weight, i. e. for the supplied phono
cartridge system to the “2.5” position.
3.4 Mounting of the dust cover
The dust cover, which is packed separately, protects
the turntable against dust and other impurities. Re-
move the packing and mount the dust cover with the
joints onto the turntable. The dust cover can be re-
moved if it is uncomfortable for the operation (e. g.
during disco operation).

Connection of the Turntable
The turntable should be switched off while connec-
tions to other units are made.
1) Connect the supplied cable to the phono jacks
(17) of the turntable and to the amplifier or mixer
(jacks for a turntable with magnetic system).
Watch the coloured markings of the jacks and
plugs (red = right channel, white = left channel).
Firmly screw the ground connection of the cable
at the screw terminal (18) and at the ground ter-
minal of the amplifier or mixer.
2) The turntable can be started and stopped re-
motely, e. g. via a separate switch or via a mixer
with fader start. For the connection of the remote
control see chapter 5.3 “Remote control of the
“Start/Stop” function”.
3) For illuminating the turntable a gosseneck lamp
(12 V
/3 W max.), e. g. GNL-300 by MONACOR,
can be connected to the XLR jack (2). The lamp is
switched on resp. off via the turntable.
The XLR jack has a lock. To take out the lamp,
press down the PUSH lever and at the same time
pull out the lamp from the jack.
4) Connect the mains plug to the mains socket
(230 V~/50 Hz).

Operation
5.1 Playing a record
1) Open the dust cover and remove the stylus pro-
tection cap downwards.
2) Switch on the turntable with the on/off switch (11).
The stroboscope lamp (5) lights, and on the speed
indication (10) the red display “33” resp. the green
display “45” lights - according to the position of
the slide switch (8).
3) Select the speed with the slide switch (8): 33 rpm
(rotations per minute) for long-playing records and
45 rpm for single records. The selected speed is
displayed by the indication (10).
4) Put on a record. In case of a single record with
large center hole, also put on the adaptor (1).
5) Slide the locking lever (13) for the tonearm to the
right. To lift the tonearm place the lever for the
tonearm lift (12) in the rear position . Hold the
tonearm at the handle and place the stylus above
the beginning of the record.
6) Place the lever for the tonearm lift (12) in the front
position . The tonearm is now slowly lowering
onto the record.
7) Start playing the record with the Start/Stop button
(6). The playing can be interrupted, i. e. the record
can be stopped and started again at any spot with
the Start/Stop button.
8) At the end of the record lift the tonearm with the
tonearm lift (12) and put it back by hand onto the
tonearm support. Stop the record with the Start/
Stop button (6).
9) After use of the turntable, lower the tonearm with
the tonearm lift (12) and secure it with the locking
lever (13). Switch off the turntable with the on/off
switch (11). Close the cover for dust protection.
5.2 Fine adjustment of the speed
The speed adjusted with the slide switch (8) can be
changed by ±6 %:
- at a speed of 33 rpm with the control (7)
- at a speed of 45 rpm with the control (9)
If the corresponding control is in center position
,
the speed is exactly adjusted.
The stroboscope ring (4) of the turntable platter
can be used to check the speed. While the turntable
platter is revolving, watch the part of the stroboscope
ring which is illuminated by the stroboscope lamp (5).
(If necessary, reduce the room lighting.) If the speed
adjustment is exact, the markings on the ring seem to
stand still (see fig. 6):
at 33 rpm on the upper ring,
at 45 rpm on the second ring.
