Chapter 5: Functions and Controls

Exception Handling

Loss of Power

If your DVR-3901 loses power during recording, it will lose all material
captured since the recording started.

Loss of Video Input

If your DVR-3901 loses video input while recording, it will record
black. If it is recording embedded audio with the video, it will record
silence.

Loss of Video Genlock

If your DVR-3901 loses video genlock during playback ,and

CardRef

is selected for the

RefVid

parameter, the output video will freerun.

Firmware Upgrade

You can upgrade to new firmware using CCS Pilot or by card-edge
ethernet connection. Leitch Customer Support staff will help you with
your new firmware upgrades. After you download new firmware,
reboot the module via CCS Pilot or by disconnecting it from and
reconnecting it to its power source to continue the upgrade process.
When the module is upgrading, the card-edge LEDs scroll. When the
upgrading is complete and the scrolling stops, the module is ready to
use.
