Making Connections
Either RS-422 or PC serial cables can be used for connections on the
DVR-3901.
Connecting Using a RS-422 Cable
The DVR-3901 is equipped with a 10 ft (3.05 m) long RS-422 cable.
This cable has male connectors on both ends. Plug one end to the DB-9
connector on the back module and fasten the screws. The jumper J6
should be positioned according to
“Setting Jumpers” on page 16 . Figure
2.6 shows the RS-422 pinouts.

The DVR-3901 can also be
controlled by Ethernet cables
