Sand the wings trailing edge
(bottom side) to a thickness of 3
mm (1/8 in.). Apply styrofoam
glue to the contact edge and let
them dry a little bit. Lay the wing
down on a plain surface, press
the gluing edge down and attach
the winglet. The trailing edge of
the winglet has to be lifted up by
15 mm (5/8 in.). Secure the joint
with adhesive tape from both
sides.
8.) Apply Styrofoam glue to the
contact edges of both wings. Let it
dry a while and press the two
pieces together, according to the
built-in „V-shape“ dihedral. Apply
foam glue to the center edges of
the wing panels. Let the glue dry
off a little. The wing panel center
edge is pre-cut in an angle to
provide the correct dihedral for the
wing. Now press the wing panels
firmly together by keeping the
predetermined dihedral.
Now apply glue to the underside
of the upper and the upper side of
the lower wing joiner as well as to
the upper and lower wing panel areas, which will be covered by the wing joiners. Let it dry off lightly and
press the joiners onto their place.
When you use of carbon fibre tubes as wing reinforcement then look now on page 9
Note:
Make sure that the upper wing joiner
is flush with the leading edge of the
wing and is overlapping with the
lower wing joiner.
Drill a 4mm hole into the wing joiner
where it is marked. mm hole into the
wing joiner where it is marked.
