1. In Standby Mode, the default access status is shown in the

line of the display (which is IN in this case).

2. Press the Backspace key and the access status will be
changed to OUT. Then follow the usual procedure to
continue (e.g. enter the user ID and present the smartcard).

3. If no key is pressed for approximately 5 seconds, the unit will
show the Time Out message, and will return to the default
access status.
