Appendix E
Blanking zone, thresholds and hysteresis parameters detailed description
E.1 Blanking zone
Blanking zone
–
null zone fixing limit setting for excluding false alarms or external influ-
ence on sensor.
Blanking zone value must be greater than minimal value.
If the current value of the detector is in the interval between minimal value and blanking
zone value, the controller displays set minimal value.
If the current value of the detector exceeds blanking zone value, the controller displays
the current value of the detector.
Example:
[minimal value] = 0; [blanking zone] = 5;
On figure E.1 before the point (1) and after the point (2) value of the detector equal 0 (set
minimal value), as they are below blanking zone value. In the interval from the point (1) to the
point (2) value from the detector equal real values.

E.2 Threshold. Hysteresis
Threshold 1 and Threshold 2 - concentration value above which light/sound alarm and re-
lays are triggered. Thresholds values can be set between minimal and maximal values.
Threshold 2 value must be greater than threshold 1 value.
Hysteresis values for thresholds 1 and 2 can be set in the interval from 0 to the corresponding threshold value.
If the current value of the detector exceeds threshold 1 value, relay
