Description 

Standard 

Fully conforms to the IEEE 

802.3

af/at/bt standard. 

Legacy 

Legacy detection identifies PD devices that do not fully follow the IEEE 

802.3

af/at/bt standard and their unique electrical signatures so that the PoE 

injector can provide power to those PD devices. Legacy mode will 

handshake to check if this connected device is a PoE device first. If 

handshaking fails, forced output power is used.
