POE304-MS PoE Injector User Manual
Intelligent LED Indicator for PoE Mode and Real-time PoE Usage
The PoE injector was built in legacy mode to provide the power to those PD devices
that do not follow the IEEE 802.3af/at/bt standard. Moreover, the
PoE injector helps
users to monitor the current status of PoE power usage easily and efficiently via its
advanced LED indication. “PoE Power Usage” displayed on the front panel of the
PoE
injector
has three LED indicators of different power usages. Via the power usage LED,
the PoE injector permits the administrator to monitor the status of the power usage of
the connected PDs in real time.
60 W of Power over four-pair UTP
The PoE injector uses the
IEEE 802.3af/at PoE
cabling standard. Instead of delivering
power over 2-pair twisted UTP – be it end-
span (Pins 1, 2, 3 and 6) or mid
-
span (Pins
4, 5, 7 and 8), it provides the capability to source up to 60 W
of power by using all the
four pairs of standard Cat. 5e/Cat. 6 Ethernet cabling. In the new four-pair system, two
PSE controllers will be used to power both the data pairs and the spare pairs.

All-in-One and Compact Size Design
The PoE injector comes in compact housing and features one 52~56

DC input power
jacket, one power LED, PoE-in-use LED,
and legacy LED. Two RJ45 ports
-- Ethernet
port and Et DC port – are available on the side panel. Simply plug in the
Ethernet cables and DC power cord, and the PoE injector is ready to provide high-
speed network communication and the 802.3bt PoE injector functions simultaneously
with no software configuration required.
Plug and play, easy cabling installation
The PoE injector can be installed by simple plug and play. It is used between Power
Source Equipment (PSE) and Powered Device
s
(PD). The
PoE injector injects power to
the PD without affecting the data transmission performance. The PoE injector also
offers a cost-effective and quick solution to doubling the standard range of PoE from
100 to 200 m.
The PoE injector is designed in
a compact mini box containing five RJ45 ports and one
"PoE IN" port that functions as a
PoE (Data and Power) input
. The four "PoE OUT"
ports on the other side of the PoE injector function
as PoE (Data and Power) output.
The "PoE OUT" port is also the power injector to transmit DC voltage over the Cat.
5/5e/6 cable and transfer data and power simultaneously between the PSE and PD.
