Extend the cylinder to end position 2, read the current process data value (PDV) and note it down (500 in the example).

Select [SSC1.2 Config. Mode] and set [Single point].

Calculate and set the switch point SP1 for switching signal channel SSC1.2:
[SSC1.2 Param. SP1] = 500 (PDV) + 100 (tolerance) = 600.

Select [SSC1.2 Config. Logic] and set [High active].
u
Save the parameter set and write it to the device.

9.9.2 Inline material detection
When operating in Window Mode, objects can be detected, compared and counted.
In this application example, the device is installed in a cylinder that clamps 2 sheets together for
welding.
The device detects whether the correct number of sheets has been inserted. The switching signal
channels control the process via their output signals by means of the switch point logic set in opposite
directions:
•
SSC1.1 indicates correct clamping and releases the welding process.
•
SSC1.2 indicates errors and stops the welding process.
