1. Function and features
The programmable controllers of the series "SafetyController R360" are
designed for use under severe conditions. They are suitable for direct
installation in vehicles and mobile machines.
Special hardware and software functions are additionally integrated in the
controllers for safety-related applications described in these instructions which
enable use as a safety controller.
The "SafetyController R360" controllers are approved for safety-related
applications relating to the protection of persons if the corresponding
system check routines are integrated into the operating system and
application software and were tested by means of a full function test.
However, the final classification and approval of a system (hardware
and software) may only be carried out by the corresponding
supervisory organisations.
2. Programming and important additions to these instructions
To program a controller the complete system manual and the supplement to
the system manual "Use as safety controller" are required in addition to the
programming system.
If you do not have these documents in German or English, you can request
them free of charge on the indicated website or via e-mail, fax, phone or post
at the address stated below.
