2. Open the medium expansion foam pistol by pulling the trigger
(Fig. 2/

).
The water supply is started. Once a steady water pressure has built
up, a uniform extinguishing foam is produced. The extinguishing
foam is produced while the trigger remains pressed.
Rinsing and uncoupling the medium expansion foam pistol
1. Shut off the water supply.
2. – Mount a spare bottle filled with water.
– Or unscrew the plastic bottle (Fig. 2/

) from the medium expan-
sion foam pistol and pour the remaining foam agent into another
container. Fill clear water into the plastic bottle and screw it to
the foam nozzle.
3. Open the water supply and pull the trigger until only clear water
and no more extinguishing foam emerges from the foam tube. If
necessary, rinse multiple times.
4. Shut off the water supply and, by hand or with the use of a coupling
spanner, detach the coupling of the water hose (Fig. 2/

) from the
fixed coupling on the medium expansion foam pistol (Fig. 2/
2
).
Important
Water may emerge when the coupling connection is
released.

Visual inspection after each use
The medium expansion foam pistol is separated from the water supply.
The medium expansion foam pistol must not be contaminated with
foam agent. If necessary, rinse the medium expansion foam pistol
again as described in the previous section.
Important
Do not continue to use damaged components!
If you discover any damage, this must be reported to
the person or department responsible.
1. Check the medium expansion foam pistol and especially the con-
version screen for visible damage.
2. Check that the trigger can be operated (unpressurised).
