Frequently Asked Questions
(Question): My Z Engine System Tray icon stays red
(Answer): Try the following steps:
•
Check to ensure there is a Keyset inserted into the Base and the cable from the
Base is properly attached to the PC
•
Remove and re-insert the Keyset
•
Insert a different Keyset (to determine if the problem is with the embedded chip on
one of your Keysets)
•
Ensure you are not using any intermediate devices between your keyboard and
your PC such as PS/2>USB converter, KVM or other PC switch, cable extension
cord, and so on. Attach the Base cable directly to your computer port to resolve the
issue.
•
Uninstall and reinstall the Z Engine software with the Zboard™ plugged in.
•
Ensure that your BIOS settings are set to ‘‘Normal boot’’ and not ‘‘Rapid/Fast boot’’
•
Ensure your ‘‘USB Legacy support’’ or ‘‘USB Emulation’’ settings in your BIOS are
‘‘Enabled’’ or ‘‘On’’ (for USB Zboard™)
(Question): Some of my keys are semi-depressed or not functioning properly
(Answer): Remove the Keyset from the Base and make sure that all rubber domes on the Base

Base.
(Question): The 'Enabled' LED is never ON
(Answer): The 'Enabled' LED is ON only when you are playing a game that matches the
