Installing The Zboard™ Device
Installing the Zboard™ hardware involves working with two separate components: the
Zboard™ Base, and the Zboard™ Keyset(s). To clarify the process, it has been broken down
into two distinct steps.
Step One: Insert a Keyset into the Zboard™ Base
1.
Remove the Zboard™ Base from the packaging and unwrap the cable.
2.
Remove a Zboard™ Keyset from the packaging. Note that the Keysets are
manufactured as three individual panels, joined together by hinges. In its folded
state, the Zboard™ Keyset looks like a three-layered mini-keyboard.
NOTE: If possible, insert the Standard Keyset for this operation. Full
QWERTY keys will simplify the installation process.
3.
Without unfolding the Zboard™ Keyset, take note of the three plastic tabs emerging
from the side of the bottom panel. These three tabs correspond with three slots in
the extreme left of the Zboard™ Base Cavity.
4.
Holding the folded Zboard™ Keyset in your right hand, insert the three plastic tabs
into the corresponding slots in the Zboard™ Base. Make sure the tabs are inserted
correctly and that the edge of the Keyset is flush with the edge of the Keyset Cavity.
