PRIOR TO FIRST USE
To get the best from your new iron, follow the
instructions below:
- Ensure that all stickers and labels have been
removed from the iron. Some parts of the iron were
oiled during manufacture and these will therefore
smoke slightly when the iron is first used.
- This is entirely safe and will stop after the iron has
been used a few times.
- Always try to protect the soleplate and NEVER run it
over metal or similar surfaces, as this will damage it.
USE
- The handle of the iron must be folded out before
commencing ironing. Pull the handle carefully until it
is in the top position. A click will indicate that the
handle is securely locked.
- The handle can be folded down by pressing the
release button while pushing the handle down.
STEAM IRONING
- Open the reservoir lid behind the handle to fill the iron
with water.
- Fill the reservoir with cold water until the water level
reaches the opening.
- Replace the lid.
- Plug the iron in and switch it on.
- Adjust the temperature dial to indicate the material to
be ironed:
-
Temperature for nylon, acetate and other synthetic
fabrics •
-
Temperature for wool and cotton ••
-
Temperature for linen •••
- Press and release the steam shot button to use the
steam shot function. Repeat the procedure as
required. If you need to fill up with water during
ironing, remember to unplug the iron first.
SPRAY FUNCTION
Press the spray button to dampen the fabric before you
start ironing.
DRY IRONING
Use the same procedure as for steam ironing, but do
not put any water in the reservoir. Check that the
temperature dial is at “Min” before plugging in. Allow the
iron to heat up according to the table given below. Test
the iron on a small piece of the item to be ironed to
make sure you have the right temperature.
