10.2 - Use in FTP client
Via the Ethernet link, the VP3x0 communicates either to update content via FTP (microSD card, USB
flash memory). You can use the player in a local network. An adequately configured Modem/Router will
allow update the player via the Internet. In a local network installation, the player requires an IP address.
This address is set in the LCD menu. The player is then recognized on the network as a FTP server with
a FTP software such as «Filezilla».
When the player is connected in FTP mode, the player is in stop mode and can’t play anything.
Demonstration purposes, we are using the freeware «FileZilla» but any other software may also be
appropriate.
- Run «FileZilla»
- Enter the IP No. or the FTP address of the player
- Enter user name and password you have configured during installation
Host: IP adress
User name and password is changed with the html access
User name: idalftp
Password: idalftp
Port: 21
You are now connected to the media of the player and you have access to copy, delete, move, edit of file
names as you would do locally.
Precautions for use:
1 - Prohibit multiple simultaneous transfers.
2 - Avoid using the passive mode. (if the function is available)
