5. Using the external enclosure
1)
Start-up with formatted HDD’s, they will be identified by system as several devices.
2)
If required (e.g. Win98/ME), driver software for USB must be installed at first.
3)
Start-up with factory-new/unformatted HDD’s, they will be displayed in the Windows® -disk management.
The HDD’s need to be initialized/formatted at first.
6. Software
If you want to use the “OneTouchBackup –function, proceed as follows:
1)
Install the provided software on your System (see software manual).
2)
In order to be able to use the OneTouchBackup function of your enclosure, start the software and set up the system
at one’s own option (see software manual).

3. Mounting of HDD’s
Attention
: During montage all cabling has to be disconnected from the computer.
1)
The screws on the bottom side of the enclosure must be screwed off.
2)
Take out the HDD tray and connect the SATA HDDs to the internal
SATA connection of PCB and fasten the HDDs to the tray by screws.
3)
Push the unit back into the enclosure and fasten the screws on
the bottom side of enclosure.

In some rare cases SATA hosts can not establish SATA interface connection with SATA 3.0 Gbit/s devices
due to interface protocol issues. In this case the jumper may be installed as shown on the HDD to force the
device to negotiate for SATA 1.5 Gbit/s speed."

5. Anwendung
1)
Bei Inbetriebnahme mit formatierten Festplatten, werden diese als separate Laufwerke erkannt.
2) Bei Bedarf (z.B. unter Win98/ME) muss der USB Treiber installiert werden.
3) Bei Inbetriebnahme mit fabrikneuen/unformatierten Festplatten, werden diese in der Windows®
-Datenträgerverwaltung angezeigt und müssen initialisiert bzw. formatiert werden.
6. Software
Wenn Sie die „OneTouchBackup“ - Funktion des Gerätes unter Windows® nutzen wollen, gehen Sie wie folgt vor:
1)
Installieren Sie die mitgelieferte Software auf Ihrem System (s. Softwareanleitung).
2)
Zur Nutzung der „OneTouchBackup“ -Funktionen des Gerätes öffnen Sie das Programm und richten das System nach
Ihren Wünschen ein (s. Softwareanleitung).

3. Festplatteneinbau
Achtung
: Beim Ein- und Ausbau der Festplatte müssen alle Kabelverbindungen
zum Computer gelöst werden.
1)
Lösen Sie die Schrauben an der Unterseite und schieben
Sie den Festplattenträger nach hinten heraus.
2)
Entnehmen Sie den Festplattenträger und stecken die zu
verwendenden SATA Festplatte entsprechend auf den internen
SATA Anschluss des PCB.
3)
Schieben Sie den Träger mit den eingebauten
Festplatten zurück ins Gehäuse und schrauben
Sie diesen wieder fest.

In einigen seltenen Fällen können SATA Schnittstellen aufgrund von Protokollproblemen keine einwandfreie Verbindung
im 3,0 Gbit/s Modus herstellen. In diesem Fall kann, wie auf Festplatten abgebildet, die Festplatte per Jumper auf eine
maximale Geschwindigkeit von 1,5 Gbit/s reduziert werden."
