 After making the individual DSC call, the transponder will

display “DSC Transmission COMPLETED.”

  •  Push [CLEAR] to return to the screen displayed before you en-

tered the voice channel selection screen in step 

w

.

  •  The transceiver stands by on Channel 70 until an acknowledge-

ment is received.

Step 2: Transceiver’s operation

 When the acknowledgement is received, beeps sound.

 If  the  acknowledgement

 

 ‘Able  to  comply’  is  received, 

push [ALARM OFF] to stop the beeps, and then select 
the intership channel specified in step 

w

.

   

•  A different intership channel will be selected if the station you 

called cannot use the channel.

   

• To reply, push [PTT] and speak at a normal voice level.

   

•  You can check the MMSI code or the name, if programmed, 

of the AIS target on the display.

 If the acknowledgement 

 

‘Unable to comply’ is received, 

push [ALARM OFF] to stop the beeps, and then return 
to the operating channel before you entered the MENU 
screen.

After the communication is finished, push [EXIT] to return 
to the normal operating mode.
