8-15-4 Power Management Settings
8-15-4-1 Sleep (Hibernation) Mode
Push and release the Power button to send the device into hibernation mode. The
device sleeps for a period of time; then, it powers off. Adjust the shut off timing
using the automatic shutoff settings in
Section 8-15-4-2 Automatic Shutoff
.
Placing the device in hibernation mode can help conserve battery power.
DISABLING AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF
DRAINS THE BATTERY AT AN INCREASED
RATE. SET THE AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF TIME TO SAVE POWER.
HIBERNATION SETTINGS ARE DETERMINED BY THE AUTOMATIC SHUTOFF
SETTINGS AND HELP CONSERVE BATTERY POWER.
8-15-4-2 Automatic Shutoff
By default, automatic shutoff is enabled. The device powers off automatically
after 20 minutes.
Adjust the automatic shutoff as follows:
1.
Using the touchscreen,
tap the Settings icon to open the settings menu.
2.
Tap Auto Power Off. A submenu opens.
3.
Select the preferred timing: 5 minutes, 10 minutes, 20 minutes, or Off.
Selecting Off disables automatic shutoff. Saving occurs automatically.
4.
Tap < to exit the submenu.
5.
Tap < to exit the Settings Menu.
