Disassembly ID-0450
Removal and Replacement of Water Dump Solenoid
1. Turn off the power switch and the circuit breaker, unplug the power cord
from the outlet, remove the left and/or rear panel, and close the valve on
the water supply line.
2. Unscrew the 2 fixing screws to remove the splash shield to gain better
access to the dump valve and hoses.
3. Remove the clamps and hoses from the dump valve.
4. Disconnect the terminals connected to the dump valve.
5. Remove the 2 screws to remove coil from the body and clean diaphragm if
scaled.
6. Install the cleaned/new dump valve in its original position and assemble it
to the bracket.
7. Connect hoses to drain valve and fix with clamp.
8. Open the valve on the water supply line.
9. Reassemble the panels in their correct positions, connect the power cord to
the outlet, turn on circuit breaker, and turn on the main power switch.
10. Switch the ICE-OFF- WASH switch to the ‘ice' position to ensure that the
water drains well and check for leaks.
