4.4 Automatic gauge calibration
By airgauging normaly the automatic gauge calibration with 2 master is used, because all offsets
and amplification errors are automatically corrected.
Start by placing one of the two masters in the measuring fixture and make sure that the digital
gauge is in measuring mode.
If not, press
PRG/CAL
key to exit the Programming mode. The Setup
menu
AutoCA
must be
on
in order to perform the Automatic gauge calibration.
Automatic calibration is started by pressing the
Ï
and
Ð
keys simultaneously. In the numeric display the
message '
CAL.'
and the
Measured value
flash alternately.
Place now the 2nd master in the measuring fixture and press the
Ï
and
Ð
keys again. The digital gauge
will now carry out the calibration automatically and takes the second master value in the display.
"SECUrE"
at the numeric display indicates that the keypad is locked. Refer to the Setup menu for "Auto
Zero by Trigger". (
"0-triG."
→
Adb.
on/oFF must be set to
"on"
).
Automatic gauge calibration can also be triggered by the foot switch or via an external contact, under
condition that the Setup menu "Auto Zero by Trigger" is enabled for the foot switch.
(
"0-triG."
→
Adt.
on/oFF set to
"on"
).
The adjusted calibration factor stay secured in the Setup also it the “Autocal” function is switched off. The
calibration factor can only by erased by opening the adjustment menu ( hold the
Ï
and
Ð
keys longer than
3 seconds ) and confirm it by
ENTER
key.
4.5 Working in Dynamic measuring mode
You can start and stop a dynamic measurement by pressing either the foot switch or the
ENTER
key.
After the column gauge is turned on, the message
"triG"
flashes on the numeric display, signalling that it is
ready for the start of a first dynamic measurement. After the dynamic measurement has been started, the
luminous field
"DYN Mode"
flashes, signalling the running measurement. The numeric displays as, well as
the column display, indicate during the dynamic measurement the current
MIN, MAX, TIR
or
MEAN
value.
To stop the dynamic measurement press the foot switch or the
ENTER
key once again. The measured
value of the numeric displays, the column display and the tolerance outputs are memorised. When
"DYN
Mode"
lights up a new dynamic measurement can be started.
Notice :
Fast changes of the measured values on passing the min. and max. values depending on
fast movements ( of i.e. the bore gauge ) can influence the measurement result.
In this case measured values are bigger than the real min. value or measured values are
smaller than the real max. value.
Please measure at first a few times with the master in order to analyse the influence the
measurement speed has in your application.
