Store the old microprocessor in a static-protective package.

Touch the static-protective package containing the new microprocessor to any
unpainted metal surface in the computer, and then remove the new
microprocessor.

Press in on the retainer tabs until they click into place.

7

Align the new microprocessor with the connector on the system board and
slide it into the guides. Press the microprocessor down until it seats in the
connector.
