Ensure that the file has the following information. Use the supplied management IP address from the
customer.

NAME=enP1p8s0f0
Note: If the MAC address is already entered, do not remove it.
3. To save the file, press ESC, run
:wq
command, and then press Enter.
4. To reload the connections, run the
nmcli c reload
command, and then press Enter.
5. To see the IP address set to the specified interface, run the
ip addr
command, and then press
Enter.
You can now do a ping test on the command line or run the
essutils
tool to perform the task. You can
turn off the Wi-Fi that is connected to the laptop, if the ping test is not successful.
