5. Set the root password, by performing the following steps:

a) In the ESS installation and deployment toolkit screen, highlight Advanced Tasks as shown in

the following figure and then press Enter:

b) Highlight Command prompt and press Enter.

c) Type the command

passwd

and press Enter.

d) In the prompt message that appears, change the password to ibmesscluster and then press

Enter. When you are asked to enter the new password, ibmesscluster, again, enter it and then

press Enter to accept the change.

e) Type the command

exit

and press Enter. The essutils Advanced SSR tasks screen appears

again.

f) Highlight Back and then press Enter.

g) Highlight SSR Tools and then press Enter.
