Installing the New Adapter
Before You Begin
There are two levels of the 8-port adapter. The levels are interchangeable; however, the relative
location of the specific jumpers varies between them. When replacing one level with another level,
make sure the specific port settings are set correctly. (See pages 2-3 and 2-4.)
1. Set the switches on the new adapter to match the switch settings on the adapter you are replacing.
2. Set the jumpers on the new adapter to match the settings on the adapter you are replacing. If the
replacement adapter is a different level (the option switches will be in a different location), use the
following figure when setting the jumpers.
The ports are numbered differently and the JP3 and JP4
jumpers are reversed.
