CHAPTER 6 CALIBRATION
To retain the best accuracy, periodically re-calibrating
your AR-B3001 is recommended. If you use AR-B3001 in
a environment with a frequent large changes of
temperature and vibration, we recommend you to calibrate
every three months. If AR-B3001 is used in an office or
laboratory, a six months to one year re-calibration is
recommended.
A calibration program B3001DM.EXE is provided in the
AR-B3001 software diskette to assist your calibration
work. This program shows the input voltage for each A/
D input and help you to calibrate the AR-B3001 card. In
addition to the calibration program, a 4 1/2 digit digital
multimeter and voltage calibrator or a stable DC voltage
source are required.
There are 5 variable resistors on the AR-B3001 to allow
you making accuracy adjustment on A/D channels. The
location of each VR is indicated in Figure 2-1. The
function of each VR is listed bellow:
VR1 Fine adjustment of full-scale
VR2 Rugged adjustment of full-scale
VR3 Not used
VR4 Offset adjustment
VR5 Common mode rejection ratio adjustment
