Flash (BIOS) Update Procedure
NOTE: The flash update procedure does not change the model number and
serial number information in BIOS.
1. Prepare a bootable DOS diskette with FLASH818.EXE file
NOTE: The FLASH818.EXE is a flash utility program. Insert the diskette and
boot from drive A.
WARNING: Do not boot with any memory related driver such as HIMEM.SYS,
EMS.SYS....
2. At the DOS prompt A:>, type A:>
FLASH818 R01-XX.ROM / A+/C then
press Enter.
NOTE: R01-XX.ROM is the BIOS version. Depended on the BIOS version,
type the BIOS program name.
3. The program updates the BIOS automatically.
IMPORTANT: Verify the BIOS checksum value shown on screen.
4. Wait for the update to complete (indicated by the beeps).
WARNING: Do not turn off the system power while the BIOS is programming,
or the flash ROM will be destroyed.
5. Power off the system after the BIOS is completely updated.
