2. Attach a keyboard, mouse, and monitor to the xSeries Hosting Appliance.

Turn on the xSeries Hosting Appliance.
4. Log in to the xSeries Hosting Appliance using
root
as the user id and
password
as the password.
5. Make sure you are in the root directory and then type
/opt/CSM/scripts/setup.pl
and press Enter .
6. Respond to the following questions when prompted:
Root password:

Type original password.
v
Type new password.
v
Confirm new password.
Host name for the xSeries Hosting Appliance:
Type your host name.
Domain name:
Type your domain name.
Network Interface for the appliance:
Select a Network Interface for the appliance. Select the number that
corresponds to the ethernet adapter currently connected to the network
(the primary adapter for your xSeries Hosting Appliance).
IP address:
Type your IP address.
Network mask:
Type your network mask.
Gateway (optional):
Type your gateway.
Primary domain name server (optional):
Type your primary domain name server.
Language:
Select the language for the appliance.
7. Verify the data you have entered and make any necessary changes.

to exit the configuration and

to restart the xSeries Hosting Appliance.

Configuring HostingDirector”.
Installing and Configuring HostingDirector
After you have configured the initial network settings of the appliance using the
Advanced Appliance Configuration Utility, you are ready to use the Web
browser-based setup wizard for HostingDirector to complete your appliance
configuration.
1. From the IBM Advanced Appliance Configuration Utility, click the System tab.
2. From the System panel, click the Start Web Management button. This invokes
a Web browser that hosts the HostingDirector installation process.

Accept the SSL security certificate by clicking the Yes button from the Security
Alert window. An SSL certificate is created that is associated with the IP
