Figure 4-1: Intel LGA775 Socket
To install Intel LGA775 socket CPU onto your CPU Card, follow the steps below:
Step 1: Remove the protective cover.
Remove the black protective cover by prying it off
the load plate. The protective cover is used to protect the delicate pins on the
LGA775 socket. To remove the protective cover, locate the “
REMOVE
” sign and
use your fingernail to pry the protective cover off. (See
Figure 4-2
)

Step 2: Open the socket
. To open the socket, disengage the load lever by pressing the
lever down and slightly outward to clear the retention tab. Rotate the load lever to
a fully open position. Then rotate the load plate towards the opposite direction.
