Turn
off
all
attached
devices.

off
the
server.

Disconnect
the
power
cord.
5.
Disconnect
all
cables
from
the
server
and
all
attached
devices,
and
then
open
the
server.
For

about
opening
the
server,
see
the
documentation
that
came
with
the
server.
6.
Disconnect
the
cables
from
the
back
of
the
tape
drive.
7.
Remove
the
tape
drive
mounting
screws,
and
then
remove
the
tape
drive
from
the
server.
8.
Remove
the
mounting
rails
from
the
tape
drive
(if
applicable).
Installing
a
tape
drive
1.

Attention:
Tape
drives
are
sensitive
to
static
electricity
discharge.
The
tape
drive
is
wrapped
in
a
static-protective
package
to
prevent
damage.
2.
Before
you
open
the
static-protective
package
that
contains
the
tape
drive,
touch
the
bag
to
an
unpainted
metal
surface
on
the
server
for
at
least
2
seconds.
Remove
the
tape
drive
from
the
static-protective
package.
If
you
must
set
down
the
tape
drive,
place
it
on
the
static-protective
package.
Do
not
touch
any
of
the
exposed
components
of
the
tape
drive.
Instead,
handle
it
carefully
by
the
edges.
3.
Attach
the
mounting
rails
to
the
tape
drive
(if
applicable).
4.
Connect
the
SATA
data
cable
to
the
tape
drive.
