• The fuel system consists of an electronic control
unit (ECU), unit injectors, a fuel pump, fuel lines, a
fuel filter, an overflow valve, a fuel tank etc.
• Fuel from the fuel filter is supplied into the fuel
gallery in the cylinder head. After fuel is injected
by six unit injectors it passes through the overflow
valve installed at the exit of the fuel gallery. Fuel
returned from the cylinder head goes back into the
fuel tank.
• Accordingly, the fuel system continues to supply
the proper amount of fuel required by the engine
as determined by the control unit (ECU).
• The fuel supplied from the fuel pump to the
engine is injected by the injector, the remaining
fuel returns to the fuel tank.
