7.23
Clean any resin and plant residue from the blades using a cleaning agent before and
after using the machine.
7.24
Lubricate the blade bars with rust preventative oil before long periods of storage.
7.25
To ensure good cutting results it is important that the contact pressure between the
blades is correct.
7.26
The contact pressure is adjusted by turning the screws on the underside of the bar
clockwise as far as they will go.
7.27
Lock the screws using the locking nut on the top of the bar.
7.28
Check that the screws are loose enough to allow the washers under the screw heads
to slide sideways.
7.29
Install the blade cover to protect the blade when not in use.
7.30
There is a grease nipple on the gearbox to fill the gearbox with grease.
7.31
Use a grease gun to fill with grease.
7.32
This should be done after every 25 working hours.
7.33
For transport, do not overfill the fuel tank.
7.34
If the generator has been used, allow it to cool for at least 15 minutes before loading
it in to the transport vehicle.
7.35
To prevent fuel spillage, the generator should be secured upright in its normal
working position with the start switch in the
OFF
position and the fuel cap vent lever
in the
OFF
position.
7.36
If transporting over rough terrain, remove all the fuel from the fuel tank.
7.37
DO NOT
drop or strike the generator when transporting.
7.38
