Tuning Procedures
1. To enter the mode
Hold down
TK
+
SK2
for two seconds while powering on the radio. Then release them, and your radio
will enter manual tuning mode.
2. Description of Tuning Items
In this mode, you can manually tune TX frequency deviation, power level, RX sensitivity, squelch level
and etc.
(1) Channel Selector Knob
Different channel numbers correspond to different tuning items. The default bandwidth is 25K and the
default frequency is F1.
(2) SK2 Key
You can use this key to set the RF frequency. One-point tuning refers to Center frequency (F3) only;
three-point tuning refers to F1, F3 and F5; and five-point tuning refers to F1 through F5. The frequency
of each channel goes from low to high.
(3) TK Key
You can use this key to select the channel bandwidth among 25KHz, 20KHz and 12.5KHz. When 25K is
applied, the LED will flash orange three times.
(4) PTT/SK1 Key
You can use PTT key to increase a value or SK1 key to decrease a value. When an item is adjusted to its
minimum or maximum value, the LED would go out. As for tuning to BATT LOW, SQL and VOX, press
the
PTT
key to save your settings. The LED would flash orange three times.
(5) Selecting a tuning group
After entering tuning mode, the radio will access the first tuning group by default. Select “CH16” and
press
SK2
to access the next tuning group. Pressing
SK2
again brings you back to the first group. The
LED glows red for the first group and green for the second group.
(6) Saving the tuning value
After all items in a tuning group are properly tuned, you must go to the other group to save your changes.
(7) Setting of tuning frequency (available through the programming software)
Five-point tuning (MHz): TX-{TX1
,
TX2
,
TX3
,
TX4
,
TX5}
;
RX - {RX1, RX2, RX3, RX4, RX5}
3-point tuning (MHz): TX - {TX1, TX3, TX5}; RX :{ RX1,RX3,RX5};
RX - {RX1, RX3, RX5}
One-point tuning (MHz): TX - {TX3}
