MASTER CYLINDER REMOVAL

AND DISASSEMBLY

Drain the brake fluid. (Refer to page 7-43)

Place a rag underneath the brake hose union bolt
on the master cylinder to catch any split brake
fluid.

Remove the brake hose union bolt

and discon-

nect the brake hose

Remove the rear master cylinder pin

Loosen the master cylinder rod lock nut

Turn the adjuster

Remove the master cylinder mounting bolt

cylinder rod

Disconnect the reservoir tank hose

CAUTION

Immediately  wipe  off  any  brake  fluid  contacting
any  part  of  the  vehicle.  The  brake  fluid  reacts
chemically  with  paint,  plastics,  rubber  materials,
etc., and will damage them severely.
