With the damper rod held immovable, remove
the damper rod bolt.
Remove the damper rod

and rebound spring

from the inner tube.

Remove the dust seal

and oil seal stopper ring

Separate the inner tube from the outer tube.

Remove the following parts.

Oil seal
Slide metal
Oil lock piece

CAUTION

The removed oil seal and slide metal should be
replaced with new ones.
