Hydro-View quick start
This section provides a brief introduction to using the Hydro-View for new operators and
includes details of how to access the most commonly used facilities.
Hydro-View front panel
Figure 4 shows the front panel layout of the Hydro-View unit. You can use the keypad and
display to view and change operating parameters of the Hydro-View.

Display contrast adjustment
The display contrast can be adjusted for optimum viewing by pressing the
key (see
Keypad
(p21)) when the Moisture display page (see overleaf) is being shown. You can
press the key several times to select the most appropriate of sixteen different contrast
settings.
Note that at very low temperatures liquid crystal displays exhibit reduced contrast and this
may be particularly noticeable immediately following the application of power to the unit. It
may be necessary to adjust the contrast control several times until the unit has
established its normal operating temperature in your application.
It is recommended that you leave power applied to the Hydro-View wherever possible as
this will also help to maintain the moisture sensor at normal working temperatures.
Keypad
The keypad is of a sealed membrane switch construction using dedicated keys for the
most commonly used operator level functions…
