TROUBLESHOOTING
Troubleshooting schedule

WARNING! If service operations or troubleshooting does not require the machine to be
on, the engine should be switched off, and the stop switch in STOP position.

The machine works heavily or does
not go into the material.
Wear on chain or bar.
Inspect and change if needed.
The saw works crooked.
Wear on chain or bar.
Inspect and change if needed.
The cutting works badly and seems
glazed.
New diamonds must be released in
the chain.
Change the rotation direction of the chain.
The cutting works heavily, also
outside of the material.
Too much grease at lubrication.
Let the saw rotate outside of the material
for a minute. Switch off the machine if this
does not solve the problem.
Incorrect assembly.
Inspect for incorrect assembly; clamping
washer, drive sprocket, chain, bar, shaft
Rust or corrosion.
Use grease to lubricate. Change parts at
heavy corrosion.
The bar vibrates at certain speeds.
Worn drive wheel.
Inspect and change if needed.
Vibration levels are too high
Diamond chain fitted incorrectly
Check that the guide bar and diamond
chain is fitted correctly and does not show
signs of damage. See the instructions in
the sections "Diamond chains" and
"Maintenance".
Abnormal wear on chain or bar.
Too little water is used at sawing.
Change the diamond chain and make sure
it is intact.
Too high power output in PP 480 or
PP 490.
Set the fuse settings to 16 A in the power
pack.
Improper chain tension
Adjust the chain tension.
Play in the assembly/incorrect
assembly.
Move the machine back and forth to check
that all parts are correctly assembled and
that the wall mounting is correct.
In depth, the machine works in a
bow.
The bar is damaged.
Permanent damage. Change bar.
Cutting has been performed without
pre-cutting with blade.
Permanent damage. Change bar.
