Old brake fluid reduces the braking effect.

Make sure that brake fluid for the front and rear brake is changed in accordance with the service
schedule. (Your authorized Husqvarna Motorcycles workshop will be glad to help.)

Hazardous substances cause environmental damage.

Dispose of oils, grease, filters, fuel, cleaning agents, brake fluid, etc., correctly and in compliance
with the applicable regulations.
Info
Never use DOT 5 brake fluid. It is silicone-based and purple in color. Oil seals and brake lines are not
designed for DOT 5 brake fluid.
Avoid contact between brake fluid and painted parts. Brake fluid attacks paint.
Only use clean brake fluid from a sealed container.

Stand the vehicle upright.

Remove screw cap

with membrane

and the O-ring.

Manually press the brake caliper toward the brake disc to
push back the brake piston. Ensure that brake fluid does
not flow out of the brake fluid reservoir, if necessary extract
excess.
Info
Make sure that you do not press the brake caliper
against the spokes when pushing back the brake pis-
ton.

Remove cotter pins

, pull out pin

, and remove the
brake linings.

Clean the brake caliper and brake caliper bracket.

Check that spring plate

in the brake caliper and sliding
plate

in the brake caliper bracket are seated properly.
Info
The arrow on the spring plate points in the direction of
rotation of the brake disc.
